Fun, Exciting, and Active
Looking for something fun, exciting, and active for your kids to do during summer break? Enroll them in our Summer Karate Day Camp beginning June 24, 2013. Space is limited, so call (425) 255-8144 to enroll now.
- Open to children ages 6 through 12 (sorry, no exceptions)
- Camp starts at 9:00 AM and ends at 3:00 PM
- Drop off as early as 8:00 AM and/or pick up as late as 5:00 PM for $5 per extra hour
- No karate uniform or previous karate experience needed
- Sign up for a single day, one week, or multiple weeks
Lots of Planned Activities to Enjoy
Karate Day Camp days are divided into a variety of martial arts-inspried activities:
- Karate blocks, kicks and punches
- Judo rolls, drops and “grappling”
- Padded weapons and sparring drills
- Games, obstacle courses, arts and crafts, and more
- Weekly field trips: swimming every Wednesday and movies every Friday
Your Kids Will Learn While They Have Fun
Each Karate Day Camp day includes a special one hour session of “Dealing with Bullies.” This class is divided into 3 sections: discussion, role playing, and martial arts activities.
Each session, camp members will receive training in the martial arts , eat lunch with their friends, and enjoy fun, active games. Following our daily Bully Awareness training, we provide one hour of games developed especially for the kid in each martial artist. Favorite games include:
- The Cat Walk
- Alligator Bridge
- King/Queen for a Day
- Ninja Games
- Fitness Challenges
- Animal Games
- Magic Dice
- Tug of War
- Marbles in a Cup
- Jump Rope Contest
- Sensei Says
- Karate Baseball
Each day also includes snack times and a quiet/movie time (G or PG rated) and each week ends with Freaky Friday which includes special challenge matches!
What Kids Should Bring
Parents must provide a sack lunch, snacks, and water bottle/drinks. Kids should wear clothes they can be active in, but karate uniforms are not required.
